I'm a minimalist with relatively few items in my wardrobe, so if I'm investing in a new piece of clothing, it'd better be something I feel comfortable wearing all the time. Thankfully, these shorts fit the bill! I got them about a week ago and have worn them every day since.
The 7" inseam is more of a slim fit around the leg and falls a good five to six inches above my knee, which is exactly the style I was looking for. My girlfriend was growing real tired of my baggier-fit shorts from a brand that shall not be named. (I'm proud to say the old ones are now in the donation pile!) These fit around the waist is as advertised and, since there's a little stretch in the fabric, these will be good to go even if I put on a few pounds during the holidays.
These shorts are very stretchy and comfortable but don't look the part at all. That's a good thing! I was doing lunges and squats around the apartment the other day and I experienced exactly zero constriction and resistance. Whatever combo W&P has going with the wool, spandex, and whatever else, I recommend they keep it up!
The two front pockets are a perfect depth to hold my iPhone 13 Pro and my minimalist Ridge wallet. They don't hang wide-open, either, so I don't have to worry about items slipping out or getting stolen at all. The back right pocket has a zipper to stash items I absolutely can't afford to lose and need 100% peace of mind for. I used this pocket when carrying around my girlfriend's passport as we bar hopped the other night and I didn't have to stress about it falling out or getting swiped.
As I said earlier, I got these a week ago and have worn them every day since (with fresh undies, of course). They haven't picked up any stains, don't smell at all, and I'll probably push them for another few weeks before I cave and wash them (in cold water!) The power of wool!
It's clear when you wear these shorts that a lot of thought went into their design and execution. They fit like a dream, the stitching is perfect, they look great, and they're very, very comfortable. I travel frequently, and can't wait to put these through their paces on the road. I know they'll deliver. These seem like they were built for active folks like me, and I'm thrilled I found them. Well done, W&P!
