Wearing merino comes with its advantages

TBH, I didn't love it out of the box. The wool fleece isn't very soft to the touch, and the jacket is quite long in the torso. Per other reviews, I chose one size down (L to M), and this was the absolutely right advice.
That said, after wearing it on a trip to Scotland, I really started to appreciate this jacket. The wool fleece holds up well in light drizzle, is both warm and breathable, and the longer torso worked out well when walking around (keeping it from riding up). The pockets are well-sized, and the jacket itself isn't too heavy to carry around when it gets warmer. I'm looking forward to trying this out on a camping trip, where wool's natural fire resistance (think stray ember from a campfire) would be an improvement over polyester.
Went for a week-long trip to Ireland this spring. I brought along a few other jackets to battle the weather but only used this fleece. It was amazing all trip long, from pub to the windy cliffs, rain and sun, handling long adventures and always ended up smelling great and feeling cozy the entire time.
I would sh*t my pants if you made this into a pullover. There are no good looking SHERPA merino pullovers. Only synthetic. A version of this as a pullover would be absolutely dope. Please let product design know.
This is a beautifully tailored, mostly merino wool-fleece zip up jacket, which I'm wearing as an additional layer to keep warm in our chilly home. The deep blue also is lovely, and the pockets and zippers are great. Please be aware that the fleece of this jacket seems to shed for a while after you first put it on. Small fibers have appeared on surfaces where I hover for a time. It does appear the shedding isn't significant and is becoming less of an issue with time, too. Thank you for this mostly wool-fleece jacket opportunity, Wool & Prince! And I hope you might consider bringing it out in a black version before long, too.
Very warm, fits nice, looks great
