210 Button-Down Shirt

Our 100% merino wool workhorse with a casual, heavier weight drape. This is the shirt our founder wore for 100 days straight.

Our 100% merino wool workhorse with a casual, heavier weight drape. This is the shirt our founder wore for 100 days straight.

If you’re only going to buy one shirt, make it this one.

We were tired of the dry cleaners, so we decided to make a better button-down. Relying on the tried-and-true benefits of merino wool, we designed these shirts to be worn more and washed less. Our founder wore his for 100 days straight, just to prove the performance of merino (side note, you can earn a free shirt doing the same).

Replace your entire closet of shirts with just a couple of ours. They’re better for you, your wallet, and the environment. They’re just better.

Read the shirt guide and learn about our different fabrics.

Impressive so far

Fabric quality is superb. Worn daily for 4 days so far. Essentially no wrinkles except related to tucking in, which are at least half gone by morning. Fit is fantastic. Fabric is pretty heavy (210), so if hot natured or hot climate, may be an issue.

Terrific Dark blue oxford

I've bought several W&P shifts but first time buying the 210. What brought me to buying this item was the color. You can tell the difference between this one and the 130. I have several of those. I may purchase another one later on. I like the heft and feel of this texture. The fit is great. I've bought dress shirts in size 16 34/35 length. I bought the medium and the length is just right (probably a 34). No imperfections and plan on using this for a wedding that is smart casual. I'll pair with chinos and Thursday boots dress shoes. Overall pleased with the purchase. I'm relatively new to merino wool, but like the weight and packing when going on trips. I'm leaning towards going all merino wool, so this purchase will not be the last.

This shirt rules

I'm halfway between a small and a medium; 38-39 chest size, and the small fit me perfectly.

Tbh, this is one of the best shirts I've ever bought. I'm a big fan of Taylor Stitch, Lululemon, and even -sigh- Goodthreads, and this shirt fits great, looks ALWAYS ironed somehow, and hasn't gotten a single bit of my stench on it. Wearing it for 100 days because I want to really test this thing.

Only thing to get used to: it IS a bit itchy (not much compared to other wool, tbh) but it feels durable as heck.

No man-made fiber comes close.

I confess I have worn marino wool for over 30 years. However Wool & Prince have added a touch of magic W&P added a slight feel of body.
Well, Wool & Prince, the wool is special.

Amazing! My favorite shirt.

I own the Burgundy Oxford

I completed the 100-day challenge in this shirt & have now owned it for 2.5 years. I *finally* managed to get the shirt to show some wear (a small hole & fabric wear where it was tucked in). It still has a ton of life left though & honestly I like it a bit roughed up. When I first got it, I was a bit afraid to wear it because I've had poor luck with merino products holding up - but this shirt is incredible.

I bought another one and one of the utility shirts. Should be good to go for a decade at this rate.
