We were tired of the dry cleaners, so we decided to make a better button-down. Relying on the tried-and-true benefits of merino wool, we designed these shirts to be worn more and washed less. Our founder wore his for 100 days straight, just to prove the performance of merino (side note, you can earn a free shirt doing the same).

great quality/feel fabric, great fit, huge buttons

I love everything about this shirt except the buttons. It's my second wool & price shirt. These shirts wear/travel very well and are superbly comfortable.

As far as the buttons, when paying this price for a shirt, I do expect 100% premium across the board. I'd say the fabric fits the build, the cut/stitching fits the build, but the buttons.... which typically are not an item I pay much attention to... distract from the gorgeous fabric and well cut/assembled attributes.

It's possible that this size button looks fine on Large+ but on the Medium slim cut they appear oversized for the shirt in my opinion.

I'll be ordering some buttons that are slightly smaller and less distracting from the rest of the shirt and paying a seamstress to switch them out. It's not something I'd expect to have to do when at the full custom / measure to fit price point.

We're thrilled to hear that you're overall loving the shirt, but are bummed to hear that you're not happy with the buttons. We're happy to take this feedback into consideration in order to improve future designs.

Still loving it.

This is my fourth shirt in the 130 button-down line. I have worn them at home, while travelling and going out to concerts and plays and have found no fault with them. I continue to be surprised by how a shirt made of wool can look so refined and crisp even after several wears without washing. Great product, good price and excellent quality. I’m now going to have to try the 210 version come fall/winter.

I have an older version of this shirt and while I liked the low-care features of the Merino, I always found the finish rather rough. This version looks just as good, but has a smoother finish and more comfortable hand.

Outstanding shirts

I now own 9 of these shirts (two of which are the heavier material, one is the denim wool). They are always comfortable and fit perfectly. I find them particularly good for travel. These shirts are of the highest quality and not only are my favorite, but I no longer buy any other brand.
