How good can a t-shirt really be?

We take our tees seriously. So seriously that we’ve designed them to be lived in for weeks without a wash. To create the perfect all-purpose tee, we wrapped two nylon filaments around a merino core for a 78/22 merino/nylon balance. A more durable merino tee you won’t find. No pilling. Machine washable. And heaps of merino benefits.

Total hit

We got this shirt in dusty blue for a friend’s bday who wanted a wool shirt. He LOVED it. Loved the color and loved that it was from Wool and Prince. Was a total hit.

Great shirt for a sweaty guy

I’ve had the shirt for about 6 weeks now. I’m a sweaty guy…I can sweat through a shirt with little effort. In prep for a trip to Disney in July, I purchased a black V neck from W&P and a grey crew neck from Unbound. I alternated the shirts all week and was really impressed at how well the shirts kept me comfortable and relatively odor free. Even though the W&P shirt isn’t 100% wool, it has routinely beat out the Unbound shirt at eliminating smells. I switched to a crystal deodorant stick and it has helped me get the shirts in a 2-3 week wash cycle. I wear the W&P shirt more frequently and wash it less frequently. The nylon has made the shirt more damage resistant, too. I wore a heavy pack all week at Disney and it caused significant pilling on the back of the Unbound shirt; no damage on the W&P shirt. If you are used to wool products, you know they’re not as smooth as synthetic and cotton fabrics, but this is darn close. The only shirt with wool content I’ve found to be completely comfortable, as good if not better than a synthetic or cotton shirt, is my Allbirds t shirt. Performance is just about as good as W&P but I’m not sure the odor resistance of the fabric will hold up over time as well as the W&P shirt.

Fit ok, material wasn't great

The material had a bit of a sheen to it, looked and felt like syntheticss. Not what I was looking for.
Fit was ok... not great for me but YMMV
A shame.

Not abrasion resistant

I was hoping to wear this shirt tucked-in - but I sometimes carry tools on my belt. Unfortunately it wont work for this. A small hole developed almost immediately in the front, so I haven't worn it much sense. Mostly just at night. I own a few of the button downs and the 210 fabric definitely seems more abrasion resistant.

This is probably a problem because I sized down, to take advantage of the fabric's stretch, but the fabric stretched out and having something rough rub against it is prone to wear out fast (this hasn't happened at all with my cotton t-shirts and cotton/poly blends though). This isn't a problem with W&P's shirt specifically, just with all merino.

The silver birch does pick up stains pretty easily. This is probably obvious, but I read 3rd party reviews stating it magically resist stains. Oil and grease were picked up pretty easily and permanently.

*That said* the actual fabric is great. Really wonderful to the touch & I I love to sleep in it. I picked up larger size in Navy Blue to wear untucked & hope it wont develop a hole as quickly. I've only worn it a few times, but so far so good.
