If you’re only going to buy one shirt, make it this one.

We were tired of the dry cleaners, so we decided to make a better button-down. Relying on the tried-and-true benefits of merino wool, we designed these shirts to be worn more and washed less. Our founder wore his for 100 days straight, just to prove the performance of merino (side note, you can earn a free shirt doing the same).

Replace your entire closet of shirts with just a couple of ours. They’re better for you, your wallet, and the environment. They’re just better.

Love it

Been wearing it all the time and smells great / looks great. Will be my go to work shirt - I’ve ordered a blue to add to the grey. I’ve been getting complements in the bit of texture of fabric.

Shirt length and cut is great for tucking in - no bagginess. I have broad shoulders and fits nicely. The sleeves are a touch long and therefore fall a bit weirdly (i have 36” sleeve length). I roll them up which sorts it out. I have a small neck (14.5”) and found collar a touch big.

Love my shirt!

This is *the* best shirt I've ever owned. Only washed once or twice and wearing it almost constantly. I wish the heavier cloth version had black buttons like this - otherwise I would be purchasing one of those as well.

BTW - sizing is very different between button downs and t-shirts. A regular medium is fine for me in button down but much, much too small in the crew neck t-shirt line.

Beautiful dress shirt

This a beautiful shirt. In black, medium, slim. Fits perfect. Looks great. Black buttons--very nice. Soft, smooth. A little thicker than the 130, nicer feeling than the 210s. My waist is 34" at the navel relaxed. Chest 40.5, relaxed.

Significantly exceeded my (high) expectations

I have about half a dozen W&P button down shirts, but this is my first in 170 "twill" fabric. In all honesty, I only purchased it because the similar herringbone "specialty" button down has been out of stock for ages--and in all the picts, that fabric looks nicer than W&P twill. I guess I've just seen quite a few twill fabrics that weren't very distinctive, even though I've never been unhappy with any W&P fabrics.

So it was a nice surprise to discover that the 170 twill shirts are arguably nicer--way nicer--than the 130 and 210 weight shirts. The 170 twill is silkier, softer, finer but with plenty of fabric weight and with a subdued sheen. It's the type of fabric that comes to mind when thinking about the very best bespoke custom clothing from exclusive tailors in London or Milan. The pictures on the W&P site don't due justice to how nice this twill fabric actually is.
