If you’re only going to buy one shirt, make it this one.

We were tired of the dry cleaners, so we decided to make a better button-down. Relying on the tried-and-true benefits of merino wool, we designed these shirts to be worn more and washed less. Our founder wore his for 100 days straight, just to prove the performance of merino (side note, you can earn a free shirt doing the same).

Replace your entire closet of shirts with just a couple of ours. They’re better for you, your wallet, and the environment. They’re just better.

Very Nice Shirt

I now own Wool & Prince button down shirts in the 130, 170 & 210 weights. They are all great. I just wish the 170 shirts came in more colors.

Seems well-made. Washed well without wrinkling. However the sheen of the fabric makes it look like a synthetic.

High quality shirt

Highly satisfied. I wear mostly wool t shirts ( icebreaker, Ibex, devold). This is the first wool button shirt I'm satisfied with. All my usual BT (Boss, Boggi, TH) restrict my movement and I feel very comfortable in this shirt. I took the slim- it feels regular but I'm fine with it. The fabric quality is excellent and it doesn't wrinkle easily like other brands at this weight.

Almost perfect

This was my first try of the 170gsm. I really like this material, and the fit is great. My one complaint is that one of the collar buttons fell off before I even tried on the shirt, so I'll have to get that sewn on. Otherwise really happy with this purchase.

170 Button Down Long Sleeve Shirt is the Sweet Spot - Please Stop Buying Tight Fitting Shirts

I am a satisfied purchaser of the black and navy versions of the 170 button down long sleeve shirts. The material of the 170 version is significantly beefier and drapes better than the 130 version. I am 58 years old, 185 pounds, 6'1", 35" sleeves, 16 1/2 neck, 36" waist, and am wide shouldered. I found the extra large size of the 170 shirt to be too wide, but the extra large slim version is the right size for my frame. As an older person, I really do not understand the younger persons with similar dimensions who are purchasing medium sizes of the 170 and 130 shirts. A tight fitting button down shirt is really not that attractive and prevents the use of any undershirt. Yes, I said an undershirt. Sort of like the undershirt that your dad wore to protect his nice shirt. The same persons who purchased shirts in smaller sizes are also complaining about pit stains on their shirts - sounds like you need an undershirt to protect your expensive shirt. A slightly larger shirt also permits a good fit even after the minor shrinkage of 5%-10% that I have experienced with merino and merino-blend shirts. Your medium shirt may fit (I doubt it.) at the time of purchase and before a wash, but it will likely be too tight (and never permit the use of an undershirt) after a few washings. Enough of the rantings of a well-dressed, fifty-something - I need a nap.
